If you are surprised by reading the title of this post, then don’t be because this is the truth. Our HCG diet center Houston found this brilliant study that was reported in PLoS ONE and the results of this study strongly support the Equilibrium HCG Diet protocol which advices dieters to eat an apple everyday which is the right way to avoid putting on additional pounds.
The study that was reported in PLoS ONE indicated that munching on unpeeled apples is a good way to keep off the extra pounds as the waxy coating on apples contains good amount of a natural compound which is referred to as ursolic acid. The activity and the positive benefits from the use of ursolic acid were tested in mice and the results from such clinical studies strongly support the importance of unpeeled apples in our diet. Iowa researchers carried out a recent study on two groups of mice which were given extremely high amount of fatty foods that could result in obesity. However, only one group of the mice was given ursolic acid and this group gained lesser weight when compared to the other group of mice who were not given ursolic acid. The results of the study definitely confirmed the effect of ursolic acid in our body, although the absorption and distribution of ursolic acid in human body is different from that of mice.
Also, apples contain a compound known as phenols and these phenols can reduce the amount of bad cholesterol in our body and can in turn increase the level of good cholesterol. In all, it is clear from the discussion that by having at least an apple a day is the best way to maintain your weight and to control unnecessary weight gains as well.
